Methodology
How we collect prices
PriceRadar fetches pricing from provider pages and aggregators on a fixed schedule, normalises every value to USD per 1M tokens, and stores a hashed snapshot of each fetch so every published number traces back to its source.
At launch, prices are sourced primarily from the deterministic OpenRouter models feed. A price is marked stale when its source has not been successfully re-verified within three times its scheduled interval, or was never verified by our own pipeline (imported seed data). Stale prices stay visible - we show data as of <date> rather than hiding or silently freezing them.
Price history starts from 2026-07: we record changes from the moment we begin watching a source, so charts fill in over time rather than being back-filled.
